The 400 block of H Street, NE has its newest addition. Sidamo has installed its new signage above its front door. I stopped by Tuesday morning for a cup of coffee on the way in to work and saw that the base for the sign was being set up. Anwar Saleem from H Street Main Street emailed this picture in this morning and it looks like the new installation is complete. The artwork was done by a local artist with the coordination of H Street Main Street.

The unique storefront signage joins the company of special signs at Park's Hardware, Stan's Clothing, Smokey's Barbershop and many more that were sponsored through the DC Arts and Humanities Commission a few years ago.

UPDATE [6/18, 9:45 am]: Mr. Saleem points out for me that the arts project funded by the DC Arts and Humanities Commission, titled the "H Street Expressive Sign Project" was managed by H Street Main Street. The businesses were chosen through a competitive process based on need and impact.
