The Public Service Commission sent the following information to share with residents...

Washington Gas Light's Rate Case (Formal Case No. 1054) Resumes –  The Public Service Commission urges the public to attend hearing regarding the proposed Washington Gas increases.

After a suspension of the proceedings on July 23rd, 2007, the DC Public Service Commission has rescheduled Formal Case No. 1054, Washington Gas Light's request for an increase of $20.5 million dollars.  These proceedings include the scheduling of community hearings during which consumers will have the opportunity to share their comments and opinions on WG's performance with the Public Service Commissioners who will decide the rate case.

The D.C. Public Service Commission will convene three (3) community hearings on the dates, times and locations listed below:

- Thursday, December 6, 2007, 10:00 a.m. - Ward Memorial AME Church - 241 42nd Street, NE
- Saturday, December 8, 2007, 11:00 a.m. - Westminster Presbyterian Church - 400 I Street, SW
- Monday, December 10, 2007, 10:00  a.m. - D.C. Public Service Commission - 1333 H Street, NW, Hearing Room 7th Floor

Those who wish to testify at the community hearings should contact the Commission Secretary by the close of business three (3) days prior to the date of the hearing by calling (202) 626-5150.  Representatives of organizations will be permitted a maximum of five (5) minutes for oral presentations.  Individuals will be permitted a maximum of three (3) minutes for oral presentations.  If an organization or an individual is unable to offer comments at the community hearings, written statements may be submitted to the Public Service Commission of the District of Columbia, 1334 H Street, N.W., Suite 200, West Tower, Washington, DC 20005.
