The shots will be free for seniors with Medicare Part B as their primary insurance. Unfortunately, other insurance cannot be accepted by Safeway at an off-site location. However, individuals without Medicare Part B as their primary insurance can pay a fee of $30 for the vaccine shot. Seniors are encouraged to get the seasonal flu vaccine. Please note, this will not include a vaccine shot for the H1N1 "swine flu" vaccine. If an opportunity becomes available to provide free "swine flu" vaccines, the Councilmember will seek to set up another event.
