The fair will also provide a glimpse of development projects for 2009, which is shaping up as a big year. So spend part of your Saturday afternoon at the fair in the beautiful new Nationals Park - on the waterfront that will soon make Washington, D.C. a world class waterfront city. Fair Panel Discussions There will be short presentations focusing on key elements of revitalizing the Anacostia Waterfront followed by a facilitated question and comment session: - 1 p.m. - Creating a Future World-Class Waterfront - 3 p.m. - Transportation and Development - 4 p.m. - Environment and Open Spaces These sessions will provide the audience an opportunity to address issues that affect the quality of life along the Anacostia Waterfront. DC Youth Performances We are especially proud of D.C.'s youth who use creative expression to motivate themselves and inspire us. One day in the not too distant future some of them will be able to perform at new venues on the revitalized Anacostia Waterfront. Enjoy performances by some our rising talent at this fair. - Champions Against Crime - East of the River Steel Band Children's Activities This is a family event. There will be balloon animals and free face-painting for young people.
