Without a doubt, restaurants in Ward 6 neighborhoods pack a powerful punch. Whether you’re looking on Capitol Hill, Penn Quarter, or the new tastings on H Street, NE, top notch meals are there to be had.

A few noteworthy additions in the last year or so have been met with high praise.

Last week, The Source by Wolfgang Puck in the Penn Quarter neighborhood was awarded a RAMMY for Best New Restaurant. Have you tried their Kobe beef sliders? Also picking up an award that night was Capitol Hill’s old stand-by The Monocle for Voters' Choice Restaurant of the Year.

A short walk over to Pennsylvania Ave, SE, Bravo Network’s Top Chef contestant “Spike” Mendelsohn has made the recent PR rounds as his new Good Stuff Eatery is scheduled to open this week.

And while Spike will certainly make a splash this week, most neighborhood eyes will be glued to the Food Network on Tuesday, July 8th, 9 pm to watch Iron Chef Bobby Flay “Throw-Down!” with Doc Granville Moore executive chef Teddy Folkman over some Moules & Frites. Will you be watching?
